UMBC's upset of Virginia means free Little Caesars pizza on April 2

Before the tournament, the pizza company promised every family that enters a participating store a free HOT-N-READY lunch combo.

Little Caesars said it would offer a free lunch if the impossible happened.

It happened Friday night in Charlotte, N.C.

No. 16 seed University of Maryland-Baltimore County made history by demolishing No. 1 seed Virginia, 74-54, the first-time a No. 16 seed knocked off a top seed in the NCAA tournament.

Before the tournament, the pizza company promised every family that enters a participating store between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (local time) on April 2 and mentions the offer at the check-out counter would receive one free HOT-N-READY lunch combo.
