March Madness is here and ready to bust brackets.
Anyone who has filled out a bracket in the past knows that even the most knowledgeable basketball fan's bracket can bust in the early rounds.
If you haven't filled out your bracket yet, here are a couple highlights to consider (before the deadline of 12 p.m. March 16):
North Carolina is a favorite in a lot of brackets. Vegas odds has them listed as a 6/1 favorite to win the whole tournament. They're arguably the most complete team in the field .
The only team with better odds to win, according to Vegas, is North Carolina's ACC rival, Duke. The Blue Devils didn't have the most impressive regular season, but they have one of the best coaches in the game, and possibly the most talented team. They're in the East region as a two-seed with Villanova being the one-seed.
Michigan nailed down a seven-seed as well as a Midwest site. They'll take on Oklahoma State in Indianapolis tomorrow. Ranked eighth in the league tournament, the Wolverines rallied after a plane crash to win.
Not only did they come out Big Ten Conference Tournament champions, but are now a strong pick to make it into the second week of the Big Dance.
Michigan State landed in the same region as UM as a nine-seed. They'll play the University of Miami in the first round. If they win the first game it's likely they'll play Kansas later in the weekend.
Odds might be stacked against them if they reached that point, but Spartan fans know, you can't ever count Tom Izzo out.
