The tournament excitement isn't just with the college game, the East Kentwood girls team is the last West Michigan program left playing, they face Southfield Arts and Technology in the state semi-finals Friday afternoon at the Breslin Center.

The Falcons were never really respected, despite rattling off 24 straight wins after losing in Week 2.

Now they head to the Class A final four facing a brand new school, facing a team they know little about but that's an aspect that works both ways.

"I figure they have to prepare for us just as much as we have to prepare for them," says head coach Jimmy Carter, "We do what we do and so they're going to have to make adjustments. Our top eight players on a given night can step up and lead us in scoring so I'm not worried about the scoring so much as the defensive assignments."
