Holland ended their rivals season on the soccer field Thursday night with a 4-1 win. Holland Christian got a little payback Friday night by beating the Dutch 19-7 on the football field at Hope College.

For the first time in the 11-year history of the rivalry the two schools faced off in the final game of the regular season, and with neither eligible for the postseason, there was nothing on the line but bragging rights.

The Maroons forced three first half turnovers as they raced out to a 19-0 halftime lead and the defense continued to dominate Holland in the second half after quarterback Isaac Cassel left the game with an injury.

The Maroons end the season 3-6 (1-4 OK Green) while the Dutch finish 2-7 (0-5 OK Green). Holland Christian improved to 10-1 against Holland.
