North Muskegon overcame a slow offensive start to win at Hesperia 28-27 Friday night.
The game started as a defensive struggle with neither team scoring in the first quarter. Hesperia's defense opened the scoring when Garret Yates picked up a fumble and ran it into the endzone. The Panthers extended the lead to 14-0 at the half on Kanin White's 18 yard touchdown run.
The Norseman would cut the lead to 14-7 after three. The game was tied at 21 after regulation.
