This week’s Meijer Scholar Athlete is Audrey Tubbs of Forest Hills Central.
Audrey is a junior with the Rangers and carries a 3.925 GPA.
She plays volleyball year around between high school and travel teams and is currently the libero for the Rangers.
She works with multiple charities and organizations that center around spreading volleyball to young girls around the world.
Audrey wants to study marine biology in college and looking to go to school on one of the coasts and hopefully to a school she could play volleyball as well.
“I just think it’s really important because even if you do want to play in college like I do it’s definitely important to keep your grades up," says Audrey.
"That goes along with athletics and keeping up on things -- not to mention schools very important because of what you want to do the rest of your life so you need to stay focused on that.”
