Many Detroit Red Wings fans have been disappointed with the team's moves this offseason.

But, here's one no one in Michigan is complaining about -- the Wings extended their affiliation agreement with the Grand Rapids Griffins for another five years.

The Wings and Griffins made the announcement Thursday, July 6. The two teams will work together through the 2021-22 season.

Grand Rapids has been the Wings' American Hockey League affiliate for the past 15 years.

The Griffins sent 76 players to the Wings during Detroit's 25-year playoff streak that ended this past season.
