Josh Lester came through in the clutch yet again, delivering a bases loaded single off the wall in right field to bring home the winning run as the Whitecaps beat the Dayton Dragons 3-2 in 12 innings.

Anthony Pereira would give West Michigan a 1-0 lead in third inning with a base hit, scoring David Gonzalez.

Whitecaps starting pitcher Anthony Castro pitched 5 innings, allowing just 2 hits and one sacrifice fly in the 4th inning that would tie the game 1-1.

After the Dragons took the lead in the 10th inning, Pereira would ground out to third but it allowed Danny Woodrow to score and tie the game 2-2 and Lester would win it in the 12th.

Zac Houston and Trent Szkutnik combined to pitch 7 innings of relief, with Houston striking out six in 3 scoreless innings. Szkutnik picked up his 4th win of the year to remain undefeated at 4-0.
