A clipper system provided another round of snow and wind for West Michigan starting late Monday.

Conditions will begin to improve around midday on Tuesday, however -- as colder air begins to pour across Lake Michigan, lake-effect snow showers will get going. The snow will gradually end on Wednesday as the winds start to shift.

A winter weather advisory includes several West Michigan counties beginning Monday at 6 PM.

Most areas under the advisory have received between 2-5" of snow. The heaviest bands of accumulating snow will gradually depart West Michigan Tuesday morning.

Additional accumulations will generally be minor and under an inch.

A fast-moving Alberta Clipper will spread snow into West Michigan beginning Monday evening.
