A winter weather advisory is in effect for several West Michigan counties north of I-96 Wednesday, March 1.

Heavy snow, falling temperatures and strong winds will make for tricky travel for most of the region.

The cold front that produced thunderstorms and very heavy rainfall Tuesday night dragged down our temperatures. Most areas will see sub-freezing conditions late Wednesday as temperatures will continue to drop throughout the day.

The snow will end by early Thursday. Another clipper could provide a quick burst of snow south of I-96 late Thursday. Accumulations with this second system should be less than one inch.

Temperatures will quickly rebound this weekend. Expect warmer than normal temperatures with highs in the 40s and 50s.
