Crossroads Middle School student charged after alleged threat

Police contacted the student and his parents, and found out he did not actually intend to carry out the threat.

The Kent County prosecutor's office will charge an 8th grader, for making threats at Northview High School.

The student attends Crossroads Middle School, which is part of the Northview district and investigators say the student left a threatening message on the voicemail of a 9th grader.

Police contacted the student and his parents, and found out he did not actually intend to carry out the threat.

The prosecutor's office authorized a charge of a false report or threat of terrorism. The student will be charged as a juvenile.
