BYRON CENTER TWP, MICH. - For nearly 70 years, it's been a favorite gathering place of the Byron Center community.
"The people here remember you. It's like home," says one diner.
Pete's Grill & Tavern has been a landmark in downtown Byron Center since 1948, serving hometown favorites like pizza, hamburgers, and grinders. They support the community too, buy purchasing menu ingredients from local vendors.
"We've got burgers and pork chops that we actually purchase across the street from Byron Center meats," says district manager Shanna Peterson.
"The buns come from a local company named Mancinos," adds general manager DJ Stark.
Recently, Restaurant Partners. Inc. purchased Pete's Grill & Tavern. While the restaurant is under new management, very little has changed.
"Nothing has changed at Pete's right now," says Peterson. "We've kept everything the same, the menu and the same hometown feel that everybody's used to feeling every time they come."
Pete's Grill & Tavern will be hosting live music during the Byron Days Festival in late July.
