Colorful balloons take to the sky over West Michigan during annual festival

Flights at Grand Rapids Balloon Festival halted due to weather

HUDSONVILLE, MICH. - Colorful balloons will take over the sky during the annual Grand Rapids Balloon Festival!

The festival kicked off Thursday, July 20, at Ah-Nab-Awen Park. The fun continues Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 9 p.m. It is at the Hudsonville Fairgrounds.

Admission is just $5 with kids 2 and under getting in free.

Friday night features performances by May Erlewine and George Moss. Saturday night has performances by Boy From School, Xpressions of Praise Christian Dance Arts Academy, The Lasting Hope and Maciek the Magician.

Both nights feature a dunk tank, craft and vendor booths, face painting and balloon launches.
