GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The Grand Rapids Veg Fest returned Sudnay to the DeltaPlex for its second year with more presenters, food and vendors than last year.
And just like last year, dozens, if not hundreds, of attendees lined up outside the event to get in the doors as soon as they opened.
"The goal of Grand Rapids Veg Fest is to promote plant based diets for health, compassion, and conservation of the environment," organizers say. "Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, or an omnivore curious about the health benefits of a plant based diet, there's something for everyone at Grand Rapids Veg Fest, including activities and information for the entire family."
The local nonprofit and community enrichment organization, Plant Based Solutions, partnered with the Grand Rapids Vegan/Vegetarian MeetUp Group to present Veg Fest. The local Meetup Group has more than 700 members and holds monthly potlucks and educational events.
