MARNE, MICH. - The Berlin Fair is back for another year!
Established in 1855, Michigan's Berlin Fair is the longest running fair in the state.
The 162-year-old fair starts on July 3 until Saturday, July 8 at the Berlin Fairgrounds in Ottawa County.
There will be 4H events happening all week. The opening night features the "Horse Speed events" and the "Great Lakes Timber Show." And, because the fair falls right on Fourth of July, organizers are expecting big crowds.
"This is our second year running over the week of the Fourth of July -- we've had amazing turnout," one organizer, Megan Byrne said. "We have great community support, that actually like to spend their holiday here at the fair.
There will also be a carnival, fire department demonstrations, tractor pulls and live music. And if you're of age, the beer barn opens at 6 p.m. every night.
