HOLLAND, MICH. - It's time to lace up those sneakers and start training! Registration for the annual Tulip Time Run is now open.
The Tulip Time Festival is offering three distances -- a 5K, 10K and a Kids' Fun Run.
This year's race will be held on Saturday, May 5, at Kollen Park. The 5K will start at 8 a.m. and the 10K will follow at 8:45 a.m. Awards will be given out to the top three fastest men and women in each age group.
The Kids' Fun Run will start at 9:15 a.m.
Presented by MVP Athletic Club, the 2018 Tulip Time Run will provide a unique opportunity for runners to strut through the tulip lined streets of Holland -- without having to worry about traffic.
Can't make it to the race? No problem! New this year, you can participate in a "virtual run!"
You read that right. A virtual run! You can run a 5 or 10K in your own town and still get a shirt, bib and 2018 Run pin in the mail.
However, if you run at home, you won't get the free beverage ticket runners in Holland will get. Apparently, the social aspect of the run requires you to actually leave your house. The tickets are redeemable at the After-Party at Boatwerks Waterfront Restaurant.
But wait, there's more! If you register before April 15, you're guaranteed to get a participant shirt and a personalized race bib.
When it's all said and done, your race results will be available almost instantly. You will get an email with your time, you can check your IgniteYourEvent app. If you're not a fan of cool technology, you can look your time up at an on-site kiosk.
So, if you're ready to run, registration, pricing information and additional race details can be found by clicking here.
