Vintage Electronics Expo gives visitors a blast from the past

KALAMAZOO, MICH. - Visitors to the Kalamazoo area can get a closer look at technology from the past. The Vintage Electronics Extravaganza is at the Kalamazoo Expo Center Friday and Saturday, July 14 and 15.

For $5, attendees can enter the flea market and see a wide range of electronics. Pieces will be for sale by collectors. Everything is at least 25 years old.

The expo runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Kids ages 12 and under get in free.

A bargain auction will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, where items can be purchased for under $10. A traditional auction will be held at 3 p.m. Friday.

The show is sponsored by the non-profit Michigan Antique Radio Club. The show had been in Lansing for 30 years, until a recent rebranding.

Collectors come from all over the US and Canada. The public is also invited to bring an electronic item for evaluation.
