Let your inner detective out: Escape room game secures downtown Grand Rapids location

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Downtown Grand Rapids has gotten a little more interesting -- a new escape room game has secured a location and is expected to open in the fall.

NAI Wisinski of West Michigan has helped the Ruse Escape Rooms secure a 3,446 square-foot venue of the first floor space at 25 South Division Avenue, located at the northwest corner of South Division and Weston in the Heartside district.

Ruse Escape Rooms co-founders, and Michigan natives, Steve Myers and Bill Wiegandt were represented in the real estate deal by NAI Wisinski of West Michigan's Doug Taatjes, Hillary Taatjes Woznick and Kurt Kunst.

The space is currently being renovated and Ruse owners are expecting to be open for business this fall.

“The Ruse Escape Rooms promises an exciting and interactive experience for either groups or individuals,” said Myers. He says the company looks forward to becoming a part of the "vibrant downtown culture."

"The space is full of character and provides the perfect setting for an immersive escape room experience,” said Wiegandt.

The location is within walking distance from a number of restaurants, breweries and hotels downtown making it a unique experience for a date, part or corporate team-building exercise.
