SPRING LAKE, MICH. - The annual Soup’s On Along The Lakeshore! event features more than dozen soups, breads and desserts from area restaurants, served by volunteers, community leaders and media celebrities.
Each attendee gets a hand-painted souvenir bowl to take home, which serves as a reminder that hunger exists every day along the Lakeshore.
It takes place Wednesday, March 8 at 6 p.m. at the Trillium Events Center, 17246 Van Wagoner Road, Spring Lake.
Soup’s On Along The Lakeshore! raises funds for the Muskegon food pantry of God’s Kitchen, a program of Catholic Charities West Michigan.
Last year, more than 30,000 people of all religions and backgrounds were helped by volunteers who worked with them one-on-one to choose food to best fit their needs.
Tickets for Soup’s On Along The Lakeshore! are $40 and are available at ccwestmi.org or the Muskegon Service Center, 1095 Third Street, Muskegon, MI, 49441.
