Head on out to the Allegan County Fair, which runs from September 9th to the 17th. It's one of the oldest fairs in the country, having first been held in 1852. You can enjoy all the traditional county fair events, check out the local 4-h animals, and enjoy the John Paul historical village located on the fairgrounds. Of course there will be fair food and rides as well. Bret Michaels plays Friday September 9th, Chris Stapleton on Sunday September 11th, and X ambassadors on Tuesday September 13th.

Sunday September 11th, head downtown at Rosa Parks Circle for Babies Blues and BBQ, a special fundraiser for the Michigan March of Dimes. Doors open at noon and there will be blues bands, bbq provided by Two Scotts, $20 a ticket. If you want to try the competition BBQ provided by 5 pit masters, there is an additional charge.

The 5th Annual Westside Polka Crawl happens this Saturday on Fulton Street starting at noon. You can sign up at the Polish Falcons Club, it's $20 per person with a an official Polka Crawl t-shirt provided. There will be hot dogs at the Falcons before the crawl, and five different bars and halls are participating. Afterwards, enjoy the band Six Pack at the Falcons. This is open to the public, and is a chance to visit some of these clubs which are normally for members only.
