GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - After the Manchester and Paris attacks at teen concerts, the Clark Institute is offering advice for parents.
Before a large scale concert or area festival or similar events setting up planning precautions.
- Bring cell phone. Set up emergency contact number alert that many police recognize code for or on speed dial.
- Schedule a meet up location in case of emergency.
- Consider the statistical likelihood of an attack not happening and the added security/precautions recently.
- Ask yourself, "should I let them go?" Weight the pluses and minuses -- not letting terror win and conquering fear or keeping them "safe."
