Saugatuck Venetian Festival kicks off July 28

Venetian Festival: Salute to Our Veterans

SAUGATUCK, MICH. - The Saugatuck Venetian Festival is full of family friendly activities including children games, an 80’s Rock n Roll concert, dinghy poker run, lighted boat parade and fireworks!

The events start Friday, July 28 at 5 p.m. with children’s games in Coghlin Park on the waterfront. It ends on July 29 with fireworks over the Kalamazoo River.

This year’s festival theme is “Salute to Our Military.” Organizers are kicking things off with Music in the Park at Wicks Park on the river in Saugatuck. A special salute to the veterans will happen at the park that night.

The festival is sponsored by the Cow Hill Yacht Club. Proceeds from the event will support the downtown Saugatuck holiday lighting and to help individuals and families who are in need with nowhere to turn.
