Lowell Harvest Celebration and Autumn Marketplace

Date: October 8th

What could be more fun than Lowell in October!   We have a host of activities for you and the family to enjoy.  Put on your walking shoes and enjoy the autumn air while visiting all the events throughout Historic Lowell!  Participate in or view the Harvest Hustle 5K Run/Walk or the Outdoor Chili Madness Chili Cook-off at Larkin's Restaurant, plus join us at the fairgrounds for the Autumn Marketplace, which will feature Arts and Crafts, Farmers Market, Flea Market, Scarecrow-Building hoedown and live entertainment!

The Cheese Lady presents: Grilled Cheese Showdown 

Date: Oct 8th, 1-5pm 

Price: FREE to attend but can buy tickets for food and beverages  | Located in Midtown 

About: The Cheese Lady Grand Rapids Grilled Cheese Showdown is back! Fuller Park across from the shop for a day of tasty sandwiches, beer and wine tent, brutal competition and live music. This is a free family friendly event. The first 50 people can sign up to be "Peoples Choice" judges for the competition. Grilled cheese, soups, chips, etc will be available to all for purchase.

Straight outta ArtPrize Silent Disco at JWMarriott 

Date: Friday OCT 7TH

Price: $15 before/ $20 at the door 

About: 616 Grand Productions and the JW Marriott Grand Rapids presents STRAIGHT OUTTA ARTPRIZE 8:

The 2nd Annual Old School Hip Hop and R&B Silent Disco spinning music we all love and remember from the 80s, 90s and 2000s.

What is a silent disco:  event where people dance to music listened to on wireless headphones. Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants.

Bark in the Dark by Human Society of West Michigan 

Date: Sat Oct 8th, 5-9pm

Price: $10 for kids and $35 for adults or just stop by for the fun festivities before and after

About: Family & dog friendly glow-in-the-dark 5k fun run/walk  with re-race activites like  a photo booth, face painting, give-aways, and more! After the race stick around for our post-race celebration featuring a beer tent and complimentary treats!
