It’s not the holidays without The Nutcracker! Don’t miss this family tradition reimagined by local author and illustrator, Chris Van Allsburg (The Polar Express), with choreography by Val Caniparoli, set design by Eugene Lee (Wicked, Saturday Night Live), and live music from your Grand Rapids Symphony.
4.) ADA CHILI & BEER FESTIVAL - Saturday, December 2 at 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Community Church in Ada and the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan are proud to bring you the 4th annual Ada Chili & Beer Festival! With more than 35 chili contestants vying for best chili and 20 local breweries serving up their best, this will be an event for the whole family that you won’t want to miss. There will also be live music and donuts for the kids (or kids at heart) to enjoy. The festival begins immediately after the holiday parade in Ada on the first Saturday of December and will take place in the parking lot of The Community Church. See you there!
5.) JINGLE PAWS PHOTO SHOOT - Saturday, December 2 at 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Ho Ho Ho Woof! Santa Paws is coming to Grand Rapids!!
Be sure to wear your ugly Christmas sweaters and bring your pets in for photos with Santa. Photos by Green Dog Photography. Treat bags for all! It takes place at the Posh Pet Dog and Cat Salon at 2424 Eastern Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507. The cost is a donation to Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue.
