Weekend Rundown: Wheels, yoga and princesses

Weekend Rundown

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - CJ DeVries from GRNow.com shares her top five weekend events.

1. WHEELS & WAFFLES - Saturday, March 4 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Why couldn’t the bike stand on its own? Because it was wheelie tired! (ok .. i’ts been a long winter)

Come join us for more bad bike puns and waffles while we are schooled in the art of building wheels by one of GR’s best wheel builders!

Our special guest, hailing from the land of Velocity and The Wheel Department, will bestow upon us some of his infinite wheel wisdom. Starting with a pile of spokes, a hub, and a hoop he will guide us along our journey to “true” wheel Nirvana.

Walk away with your very own Velocity wheel* and be the envy of all your bike nerd friends.

*Front wheels only. Opportunity for 4 wheel builds. $150 for materials. Contact our shop manager at morgan@thespokefolks.org for more information.

If you’re interested in learning about wheels but not up for building one yet, general admission is $15 (cash or credit).
