Special Olympics athletes arrive in Austria

GRAND HAVEN, MICH. - Six Michigan athletes are in Austria for the "Special Olympics World Winter Games".

Cross country skiier, Nikota Easterling of Grand Haven is one of them. The Special Olympics Michigan athletes, two staff members and a coach from our state arrived in Austria on Tuesday. They were greeted by crowds waving American flags, and even a marching band.

You can watch opening ceremonies on WZZM 13 on Saturday, March 18th, 2017 from 2 - 5 p.m.
Both ABC and ESPN 2 will air coverage of the games through the end of next week.
