ALLEGAN, MICH. - Adventure seekers, there's a new thrill for you to experience, and it's happening in downtown Allegan.
The town is excited to announce their new feature, which places two zip lines right over the Kalamazoo River.
"We have two 600 foot zip lines that span the Kalamazoo River right in downtown Allegan," says Byron Bell, course manager of Allegan Event Z!p. "We also have a quick jump, which is a free fall simulation device which allows you to simulate a bungee jump feeling with a little less of the extremeness there."
The zip line course opened June 10th and sent hundreds of visitors zipping over the river.
Visitors are encouraged to dress comfortably for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes. No loose items can be taken on the zip line.
The course hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The zip line experience is $20, the free fall is $10, and experiencing both is $27.
