GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The holiday season is fast approaching, so there's no better time to get into a fitness routine.
Beer City Barre may not conjure up images of fast-paced music and workout moves, but that's exactly what the studio brings to Grand Rapids.
Owner Cori Williams opened the studio a few weeks ago, bringing a trendy workout that uses a ballet barre paired with small, repetitive movements to exhaust muscles.
"It infuses elements of yoga, Pilates, and a little bit of dance into a fast-paced fun workout," says Williams. "We do a lot of small range motions that really fatigue the muscles so it gets really deep into your muscles and then we stretch, so it will give you that long, lean toned muscle look like a ballerina."
Williams offers several classes at various times of the day, plus many options for packages.
Not sure if you'll like the workout? The first one is free.
