GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The Grand Rapids Art Museum is celebrating their ten year anniversary at the downtown location on Monroe. Something they do every Saturday is offer projects for all ages in their Drop In Studio.
Every Saturday in December, as well as daily the week between Christmas and New Years, the studio will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. for a special art project. This month's project is called GRAM Grahams -- participants are encouraged to build structures out of graham crackers, with frosting as the glue.
Studio Program Manager Crystal Chesnik walked Meredith through the process. While Crystal made an incredible likeness of the GRAM out of graham crackers, she said creativity is encouraged and you can make anything you'd like with one package of crackers. The project comes complete with candy for decorating as well.
The Drop In Studio is free with the cost of admission and is always free for members.
