2 young brothers turn their love for welding into a business

ALTO, MICH. - "It's fun being 7-years-old," says Gideon Grummet.

But unlike most 7-year-olds, Gideon Grummet and his 10-year-old brother Asa don't play videogames like Minecraft.

"I like to create stuff," says Asa Grummet.

Their creativity is focused on metal.

"I'm into cars and trucks and restoring them and the kids come out here and hang out with me while I'm restoring," says their father Travis Grummet.

After watching their dad, who owns a welding company, young Gideon and Asa wanted to try for themselves. The boys have been welding for a year and are now able to create various pieces of art which they sell in shops around Lowell.

"It's exciting because we'd call the steel company and kept ordering stock and as quick as we'd get it in the boys would bend it up and sell it," said their father, Travis Grummet.

Mom and Dad aren't sure if this is just a phase but recently 10-year-old Asa used his birthday money to invest in the business. He bought a welding mask.

You can find more information on the Grummet's welding business' Facebook page.
