ArtPrize 2012 commemorative poster
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A new poster for ArtPrize 2012 was released Monday.
ArtPrize organizers say the image was inspired by the "Op-Art" tradition. It is called a graphic, pattern driven style.
The poster is intended to play with the eye of the beholder and start the conversation about this year's ArtPrize event.
Todd Herring of ArtPrize says, "We feel like this poster is an opportunity to tell a story. For people to begin thinking about what this event means as opposed to just seeing a visual identity."
ArtPrize 2012 begins September 19th and runs through October 7th.
