'Nothing Bundt Cakes' opens first bakery in Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Nothing Bundt Cakes has opened its first bakery in Michigan in Grand Rapids! It's also the chain's 200th location nationwide.

The new bakery can be found at 5121 28th Street SE.

According to a press release, owners Scott and Christine Vogel immediately fell in love with the Grand Rapids community after moving here from the Northeast and wanted to dig deeper roots by opening a bakery.

The bakery is located next to Grand Coney across from Costco and Target.

Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7p.m.

Friday, April 7, is Kids’ Food Basket Benefit Day. 20 percent of sales will be donated to this organization that attacks childhood hunger to help young people learn and live well.

At 3:30 p.m., a ribbon cutting with the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce and the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will take place.

On Saturday, April 8, at 9 a.m., the first 200 guests will receive free bundtlets for a year (one bundtlet per month for 12 months).

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. families are invited for face painting, balloon art, photo booth and a’bundt’ant samples of cake.
