HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) -- Chicago just got a lot closer - at least, Chicago-style deep dish pizza can be obtained without driving two hours to the windy city.

The ingredients are fresh, the crust is made daily, and each pizza is packed with ingredients, leading customers to agree that Crust54 sizes up with some of the famous pizzas of Chicago. The Klaus family opened doors to the restaurant two years ago, to great reaction from Holland residents. 

The only catch: the deep-dish pizza takes 35-45 minutes to bake. The owners say a call ahead to place your order will eliminate a wait. 

During lunchtime, pizza slices are ready-made for purchase, making this stop a quick option. 

Those that enjoy more traditional style pizzas, Crust54 offers a thin crust pizza, as well as a gluten-free crust and vegan options too. 

The success of the downtown location led to a second restaurant on South Washington. The restaurant opened late January of this year. 

Crust 54 is open Monday through Saturday starting at 11:00 a.m. They have two locations, one on 8th Street in downtown Holland and a second on South Washington by the Family Fare. For a menu and more information, head to their website at www.crust54.com.
