Gilda's Club offers public tour of Lowell Clubhouse during LaughFest

LOWELL, Mich. (WZZM) -- While LaughFest continues, people interested in learning more about Gilda's Club got an up close and personal chance to do that today.

The Gilda's Club location in Lowell offered tours of their facility from 1:00pm-5:00pm Tuesday.

Officials were on hand to educate visitors on what Gilda's Club does, and why LaughFest truly exists.

You might think that there may not be too many laughs at a support community for people impacted by cancer, but that's far from the truth.

"There's people that come in and maybe they're really sad and there's people who come in that are finding joy in this [cancer] journey and finding themselves," said Lindsay Jousma, program manager of Gilda's Club Lowell. "There's actually a lot of laughter here."
