(WZZM) - Now that the tulips are done blooming, Rick says it's time to clip-off the seed heads and the stem and leave the foliage. Then scratch in some fertilizer so you can enjoy them again next year.

Now is the time to start thinking containers. Rick recommends you take two opposite colors and put them together like purple and yellow.

Pink Vincas and Gomphrenas are great for hot dry spots if you want to put them in your container. Some other favorites for Rick's containers are Scaevolas and Gerbera Daisies. Rick Vuyst recommends Osmocote granuals to feed the plants for four months.
