(WZZM) - If you have a walnut tree, you might notice a problem with your lawn or landscaping.
These trees have long roots, usually out as far as the drip-line of the tree. Walnut trees put out a chemical called "Juglone." It's found in the roots of walnut trees and will choke out other plants and grasses.
Some plants are resistant to it. There are many like Japanese Maples, Sugar Maples, Sweetgum, Witchhazel and many more. Look up Walnut toxicity resistant plants for a list of ones that won't be bothered.
