(WZZM) - Instead of "Stop, drop and roll," Greenthumb Rick Vuyst recommends "Dig, drop and done." That's his way of planting bulbs for next year's blooms.
Rick says if you plant them correctly they will return year after year.
Rick says you should plant your bulbs at least three times as deep as the bulbs' height. You should plant them in a well-drained, amended soil.
There are many varieties to choose from and Rick says you should plant them in groups, but not necessarily in a balanced, orderly fashion.
