GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The holiday decorations are up and the holiday shopping season is about to begin!
"It gets pretty crazy," says Shannon Kohl, Manager at The Buckle.
At Woodland Mall, Black Friday gets started, on Thanksgiving. Marketing Manager Lyndsey Hicks says JCPenny opens at 2 p.m. and Macy's at 5 p.m.
“So, for door buster deals, those are the best. They go quick, so get there when they open. There are deals like the Dyson at Macy's. $250 dollars. They're usually $650 for the lowest model," Hicks says.
The Black Friday deals continue bright at early on Friday. "Some of the best deals are the Sleep Number iLE bed is 1/2 off. So, that's a $2,500 savings", says Hicks.
“North Face rarely goes on sale and they're having a sale on triclimate jackets," says Hicks.
Nearly every store in the mall has some kind of deal ranging from 20 to 50 percent off select items in the store. Others, like Buckle offer a free gift with a purchase.
"So we have an additional percentage off, so we're giving away a bunch of free stuff, like Yeti bottles, with a Buckle card purchase”, says Kohl.
In some cases, the lines start forming before the stores open. "Victoria’s Secret always has a line", says Hicks.
So, the best advice is to wear comfortable shoes and have a plan on where you want to go first.
Woodland Mall is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Black Friday.
