Cutting down Christmas trees: A holiday tradition

It's that time of year where families start picking out the perfect Christmas tree.

ALLENDALE - Now that Thanksgiving is over, many West Michigan families are heading to area tree farms to pick out the perfect Christmas tree.

Hundreds were in Allendale today, Nov. 24, at Bosch's Tree Farm where you can cut down your own tree.

The farm also has horse rides and a big pile of hay for kids to play on.

Owners say this is the biggest weekend of the year for them. They expect to see at least a thousand customers over the next few days.

"It's a great family event to come out and walk through the farm and pick a tree, it's just a good thing to do," said Brian Bosch, the owner of the tree farm.

This is Bosch's Tree Farm's 38th holiday season.
