Jake's Music Festival raises money for Type I Diabetes

Grand Rapids (WZZM)- Jake's Music Festival is an annual event to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. It's happening April 11th at the Wealthy Theater in Grand Rapids. Jake's Music Festival was started by Tom and Mary Scheidel of Rockford and named for their son Jake who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, 18 years ago when he was only six. All proceeds help fund research to find a cure for diabetes.

Tom Scheidel stopped by the WZZM13 studio to give us a look at this year's lineup.

Doors open at 5:30pm. Show starts at 6:00pm. The event is free to attend.
