Huizenga honors two Muskegon veterans with medals

MUSKEGON, MICH. - Two Muskegon servicemen were honored with medals by Congressman Bill Huizenga today.

Specialist Martin E. Witt of Muskegon served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970 as a machinist in Vietnam. He completed two different tours. 

Sergeant Harold Q. Woodard of Muskegon was in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1951 and served in the European Theater during WWII. Woodward also served in the Korean War.

Sgt. Woodward's family received the medals on his behalf.

Witt received the purple heart and six other medals. Woodward received the Bronze Star and ten other medals.
