Humane Society sees decrease in donations during summer months

Pet Peeves: HSWM

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The Humane Society of West Michigan joined the News at Noon Thursday to talk about Fifi, summer camps and the need for donations in the summer.

First things first, Fifi is an adorable 2-month of calico kitten up for adoption! If you're interested in Fifi or any other animals up for adoption, visit the Humane Society of West Michigan's website, call them at 616-453-8900 or come in Tuesday-Friday from 12 to 7 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

While you're on their site or visiting in person, you're encouraged to make a donation as the shelter typically has more animals in need of homes during the summer months and often see less donations.

Also on their website is information about the summer camps they offer:

HSWM offers an unforgettable learning experience with our Humane Education Summer Camps! This is a great place for your child to spend their summer learning, growing and having a fun filled experience that will leave a lasting impression! Summer Camps are filled with activities, games, crafts, lessons and hands on experience for everyone based on animal's and animal welfare! 5 different camps are offered for a variety of ages and interests.
