VAI's Parkinson's research gives patients hope

(WZZM) - In 1978, the Detroit Red Wings drafted Brent Peterson.

He went on to play for four different clubs and recently retired in 2011 as assistant coach of the Nashville Predators. He retired because of the onset of Parkinson's disease.

Brent talks with WZZM 13 Health Reporter Val Lego, along with Dr. Darren Moore (who leads the Facing Off Against Parkinson's Panel at the Van Andel Research Institute), about the advancements made in Parkinson's research right here in West Michigan.
