GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The next time you're in a movie theater or public place, look around -- there's a pretty good chance the person sitting next to you has diabetes.
More than 10% of Michigan residents are living with it. This is so concerning because diabetes also contributes to heart disease, stroke, blindness and many other chronic disease.
Ryan Martin from the American Diabetes Association talks with WZZM 13 Health Reporter Valerie Lego about a fund raiser to help find a cure that’s been on hiatus for six years.
