GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Just a little over 10 weeks ago, we said good bye to a member of the WZZM 13 family that brought a smile to everyone's face whenever she trotted into the room.
CJ the WZZM 13 puppy was a PAWS With A Cause pup raised by health reporter Valerie Lego, who after a year of fostering had to give her up to so she could continue with her training in prison. She will train at the prison for a total of four months, then return to PAWS to train for another six months before finally being matched to a client.
Before she left the station in April, we threw CJ a goodbye "paw-ty." It wasn't easy saying goodbye, but we knew she would be off doing great things.
PAWS With A Cause is always looking for loving homes willing to volunteer to be a breeding host home or a puppy raiser. No experience is required, just a lot of love.
For more information on what PAWS does and to become a volunteer, check out their website.
