GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - If you did any kind of shopping this weekend, you no doubt heard a lot of Holiday music. How did it make you feel? Too early? Not early enough?
There’s new evidence that holiday music can stress you out!
This is based on a study out of Great Britain where a clinical psychologist found that listening to holiday music too early into the holiday season can be bad for your mental health.
1.There's stress that comes with not being able to tune-out the holiday music. So, you focus so hard on trying not to hear it that you can focus on anything else.
2. There's the Christmas creep stress that comes with music starting earlier and earlier every year so you get the feeling you're already behind in October.
3. Holiday music can induce your P.H.S. or pre-holiday stress, that comes with having to get everything off your list from decorating to party planning and gift giving.
So, we want to know, does it make you feel stressed out? or happy?
