'Let's Talk Health' event happening June 12

The sixth annual Let's Talk Health Week will take place in Grand Rapids.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is partnering with communities around the state to talk about health. The idea is to look at inequalities in health care in local communities and look for ways to reduce them.

The "Let's Talk Health" events have recently focused on the African-American community in Grand Rapids and the Latino community across Michigan. Events will take place From June 12 to June 17. The #MIKidsCanCook experience is being held June 12.

It's a healthy cooking competition for kids from 8 to 10 years old. It will take place at 7 p.m. at the Baxter Community Center.
