Michael J. Fox Foundatoin helping local Parkinson's patients

Nearly one million people in the United States are living with Parkinson's disease.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Nearly one million people in the United States are living with Parkinson's disease.

Parkinson's disease is a chronic nerve disorder for which there is no cure. It often begins with a hand or head tremor and them progresses until the person loses all mobility even the ability to breath.

Probably one of the more famous faces of the disease is Michael J. Fox.

WZZM 13 Health Reporter Valerie Lego talks with Brian Toronyi from the Parkinson’s Association of West Michigan about how they are being helped by Michael J. Fox’s foundation, Partners in Parkinson's.
