Pimple Talk: What they're trying to tell you about your health

Pimples and your health

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - No one wants to see them when they look in the mirror. We're talking about pimples.

For some of us, we get them in the same spot every day -- they actually might be trying to tell us something.

This is based on the ancient technique of Face mapping called Ayurvedic. The theory is that the location of your pimples may have something to do with what's happening inside your body.

Breakouts on your cheek mean is a sign of too much sugar intake. Try cutting back on how much you’re eating.

Have pimples right above your eyebrow and lower forehead? Stress, lack of sleep, liver or digestive problems can all be reasons for breakouts there.

Painful ones on your chin are caused by hormones that are out of whack.

It could be as simple as you’re getting your period, symptoms of perimenopause and menopause or you might actually have an over production of the hormone androgen. In which case, you should consult your dermatologist.

On your nose means a buildup of oil.

Along the hairline can be caused by make up or hair products that are clogging pores. Headbands, ball caps can get dirty and clog pores.

If you’re interested in getting their face mapped you may want to contact Ayurvedic Practitioner Nanette Bowen at BreatheGR.com.
