Plane pull raises money for Special Olympics Michigan

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - The Gerald R. Ford International Airport teamed up with Special Olympics Michigan for its 50th anniversary Saturday.

'Airport Day' featured six teams of 25 people competing to find out which team could pull a 220,000 pound FedEx plane the farthest.

Money raised from the event go towards helping the 20,000 athletes that participate in Special Olympics in Michigan.

Over $8,000 dollars was raised during Saturday's plane pull.
